Flaxseed Health Benefith & Natural Flaxseed Moisturizing Hair Mask

I dedicated the today’s tutorial to these little wonder seeds which are EXTREMELY rich in omega-3 fatty acids, amazing for our body not only thanks to their powerful antioxidant properties but also thanks to their high-fiber content which aids digestion, cancer prevention and may help in weight loss.

flaxseed hair mask If you eat the seeds whole with a whole cup of water you are going to have a laxative and anti-inflammatory effect for your intestine. In order to get the most of it and to ensure the absorption of the OMEGA3 ACIDS and all other nutrients and vitamins you have to grind them in a blender or coffee grinder.

Check out the video-tutorial below for  the recipe and further instructions!

If flaxseed are so great for our health imagine which miracles they can work out for our hair. The today’s hair mask enriched with both flaxseed oil and flaxseed gel will help us get soft, shiny and moisturized hair. Say goodbye to thin, volumless hair 🙂

You will need the following: flaxseeds, water, cocoa butter, karite butter, flaxseed oil
1 small saucepan, 1 strainer (or stocking sock)

Remember not to bring to a boil the water of the bain-marie when melting down the cocoa butter and ADD the karite butter only when the heat is off so that you avoid to lose its nutrients due to the high temperature.

flaxseed hair mask You will be blown away by how great this mask leaves your hair: soft, shiny and moisturized. And if you add to the mask, the beneficial effect of including flaxseed in your meals (as truly healthy hair comes from good internal nutrition) you will surely notice improvement in your hair texture and thickness.

Flaxseed is generally believed to be safe. However, there are some potential risks to consider (allergic reactions) and because of its potential effects on estrogen, pregnant or breastfeeding women should probably avoid flaxseed.

Let me know if you tried the mask and how it worked for you. I’d really love to get your feedback!

Thanks for the mask recipe! I use a pro naturals argan oil mask that works great too, but I love home remedies.

Yeap, home remedies are great and cheap! Argan oil is exceptional for hair & skin but also pretty expensive 🙂 Thanks for stopping by 😉

  3. Arvinna Massini says:

    I buy the Argan oil from Aroma Zone (France) 100 ml = 11.50 EUR 250 ml = 25 EUR 1 l = 65 EUR

Wonderful information. I will be on the look out for them so that I can get the internal benefits. What do you consider a serving amount? Have a great day. :). Karen

  5. BeautyFoodTips says:

I’d advise (just my personal experience) to start with a full teaspoon / a day to a full tablespoon / a day in the end, after the initial period. Starting with a smaller amount will help you avoid inflated stomach. Hope this helps 🙂

Hi Rozalia! I’ve tried a few of your recipes and I love your blog and all the info you share on here and in video. You are lovely to watch and listen to, and produce very professional work. I can’t seem to see where it says how much of the karite(shea) butter to add. Is it a T, like the cocoa butter? Thank you 🙂
